I fully understand that running or walking a road race, regardless of the distance, is a potentially hazardous activity, and that I should not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree that race officials may authorize necessary emergency treatment for me. I also understand that roads and facilities will not be closed to public use, and both vehicle traffic and spectators will be present along the course. I assume the risk of running/walking under such conditions. I further assume any and all other risks associated with participating in the 2010 Smoky Mountain Relay (hereinafter the "Event")including, but not limited to illness, traveling to and from the event, falls, contact with spectators or other participants, the effects of weather (including temperature extremes), and the surface conditions of the roads, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, and in consideration of the acceptance of my entry, I for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns waive, release and discharge any and all rights, claims or damages state law allows against the Sourwood Running, LLC and participating sponsors, municipalities, and any and all participating directors, employees and agents of such parties for any and all injuries in any manner arising or resulting from my participation in the Smoky Mountain Relay. I attest and verify that I have knowledge of the risks involved in this race, that I assume those risks , that I will assume and pay my own medical and emergency expenses in the event of an accident, illness or other incapacity, and that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained to participate in this race. I hereby authorize Sourwood Running LLC, to use my image or likeness for race promotional purposes. I understand the race registration fees are non-refundable and I have read the race guide and agree to abide by the rules and guidelines contained in it.
